Added to the Rad Mini Library is a Zora Neale Hurston reader "I Love Myself When I Am Laughing...and Then Again When I Am Looking Mean and Impressive" From AK Press: The most prolific African-American woman author from 1920 to 1950, Zora Neale Hurston was praised for her writing and condemned for her independence, arrogance, and audaciousness. This unique anthology, with fourteen superb examples of her fiction, journalism, folklore, and autobiography, rightfully establishes her as the intellectual and spiritual leader of the next generation of black writers. This rad book was added to the Rad Mini Library. Gender Queer: A Memoir by Maia Kobabe is a graphic novel that tells the story of Maia's journey of self-discovery with gender and sexuality. It is a relatable and sympathetic story with great drawings and colors. It's also the top banned book in the country for the third year in a row. Read banned rad books!

A rad book we are currently reading: D(L)akota Star Map Constellation Guide by Annette S. Lee, Jim Rock, and Charlene O'Rourke. It is an excellent guide for those of us living on Dakota or Lakota land and only know Greek star stories.
